Thousands of children will return to school today and a range of restrictions eased across the state after the 80 per cent vaccination milestone was reached.

Students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and 12 will be back in the classroom today as part of a staged return.

20 people can now visit another home and 50 people can gather outside while masks don’t need to be worn in offices.

The cap on wedding and funeral numbers has been removed and community sport resumes.

NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello told Ben Fordham unvaccinated people need to continue to wear masks in offices.

“For the unvaccinated, the old restrictions still apply.”
