How do I listen to 2GB?

Radio

If you are within the Sydney metropolitan area, you can tune into 2GB via AM 873 or Digital Radio (DAB+). For a full list of our network stations, please click here.

Online and Mobile

If you are outside our coverage range, you can still listen to our shows and presenters via the internet or our mobile app.

• On a Computer: You will need a sound card, speakers or headphones, a web browser, and an internet connection. We recommend using Google Chrome as your browser.

• On a Phone: Use the official 2GB app to listen live, download podcasts, and call the station with a single tap. Download here.

What is ‘streaming’?
Streaming allows you to listen to audio or watch video while it downloads. Because media files can be very large, they often take a long time to download fully—especially on slower connections. Streaming compresses these files and plays them as they arrive, meaning you can start listening immediately without waiting for the entire file to finish downloading. This technology also allows for live broadcasts, such as radio and television, to be delivered in real-time.

What is “podcasting”?
Podcasts are digital media files produced as a series. You can subscribe to a podcast using software like Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Once you subscribe, your device will periodically check for new episodes and automatically download them for you to listen to at your convenience.
