Veterans Affairs Minister David Elliott says police will remain on alert for ANZAC Day commemorations, as the likelihood of an incident remains “probable”.

Also the state Counter Terrorism Minister, Mr Elliott tells Ray Hadley tomorrow’s a day where, unfortunately, his “two portfolios merge”.

“We’ve got to make sure that the police and the other agencies are on alert.

“The message is the likelihood of an incident in NSW remains at probable. That hasn’t changed. There’s no specific threat to the event.”

Minister Elliott says they’ve done all they can to protect the public.

“We will have uniformed and plainclothes police.

“We will have bag searches, we will have these new blockers.

“I don’t think there’s anything more that we can do.”
