Farmers push for national drought policy

The Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister have wrapped up their three day listening tour of drought impacted parts of New South Wales and Queensland.

About 10 percent of New South Wales is officially in drought, with the dry spell in some areas being described as the worst since the millennium drought.

While parts of Queensland are entering their seventh year of drought.
