Nephew of high-profile racing identity charged over alleged drug trade
A greyhound trainer charged over the alleged sale of illicit drugs at a NSW club has been revealed to be the nephew of a club official.
Jackson Chaker is one of five men charged by police over alleged participation in a criminal syndicate suspected to be involved in the supply of illicit drugs between Sydney and the central-west.
The 24-year-old man has been charged with 10 offences and denied bail as police allege he supplied more than 30 kilograms of cannabis and amounts of methamphetamines.
It’s alleged he was selling the drugs at greyhound tracks, including the Richmond Greyhound Club.
“Today I can identify the man involved because he’s been before a court and he’s been denied bail,” Ray Hadley said.
Mr Chaker is the nephew of Richmond Greyhound Club’s Secretary Manager Leanne Barnes.
“We’ve done a bit of research this morning in relation to this matter and we came up with this…”
