Mark Levy has slammed a Brisbane councillor accused of encouraging illegal squatting.

Greens councillor Jonathan Sriranganathan has appeared to insinuate Brisbane’s homeless should use census data to locate unoccupied homes.

“This is a helpful way of identifying the neighbourhoods … where you’re more likely to be able to find a suitable place to squat,” he wrote in a social media post.

Mr Sriranganathan maintains the comments were “just hypothetical advice”.

Mark Levy says encouraging people to break the law is “bloody disgraceful”.

“He is stark raving mad this bloke.”
