‘It still makes me quiver’: Australian man’s experience aboard Venice cruise ship
An Australian man on board the cruise ship that rammed into a dock and a riverboat in Venice says the experience was “unbelievable”.
Four people were injured in the collision on the Guidecca Canal, which leads to the busy tourist site St Mark’s Square.
MSC Cruises said the collision was the result of a mechanical problem.

Michael LoRicco tells Ben Fordham watching the footage brings back memories.
“When I hear that it still makes me quiver.
“We thought, ‘well why is it doing this?’, we just couldn’t understand.
“It was just an unbelievable feeling, the heart was going a hundred miles an hour.”
