Andrew Bolt weighs in on Australia Day debate

Article image for Andrew Bolt weighs in on Australia Day debate

In the lead up to Australia Day, Chris Smith tells Andrew Bolt he’s never witnessed more discussion about Australia Day.

“It’s been hostile. It’s been absolutely and terribly divisive.

Andrew says to Chris, “it seemed to be for the cultural elites, a chance to disparage Australia, to say what’s wrong with it. It’s getting worse.”

“I’ve researched it. There is no evidence there was a policy for stealing children just because they were Aboriginal.

“If you believe this country was found on genocide… the hatred of our history is clear.

“There’s no way Aboriginal society would survive this day as it was then.”
