Barnaby Joyce has defended a video he posted to Twitter where he acknowledged climate change and the impact it’s having on farmers.

The former Nationals leader posted the video from his own farm, insisting the government isn’t doing enough to tackle climate change.

“You don’t have to convince me that the climate’s not changing, it is changing… I just don’t want the government any more in my life.”

Mr Joyce tells Mark Levy when he made the video he was simply echoing the frustrations of a lot of people on the land who know the government isn’t doing enough.

“We get forced into the politically correct mantra… that’s a load of BS.”

He also outlines his plan for successful climate policy, including the development of nuclear power.
