After an October storm impacted more than 80 percent of South Australia’s apple and pear crops, a new campaign is being launched labelling growers as hailstorm heroes.

Impacted fruit is starting to appear on supermarket shelves that’s perfectly delicious to eat, with minor spots from the hail.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with fifth generation grower Brett James.
