Is it okay to post your kids’ lives online?
The lives of family members are being displayed online in a term now known as ‘sharenting’ but the topics have become divisive.
‘Insight’ tonight on SBS will explore the reasons parents share their kids’ lives online, and what the consequences can be.
Professor of Law specialising in digital ethics Jeannie Patterson told Deborah Knight the idea is “extremely complex”.
“Privacy is really important in how young people grow and flourish and if their [kids’] lives are shared online they’re losing the right to privacy before they even have a say in it,” she said.
