94yo war veteran makes final journey to pay his respects

More than 10,000 Australians flew in the Allied Bomber Command during WWII, and more than 4,000 tragically lost their lives.
94-year-old RAAF crew member Tony Adams, from Sydney’s North Shore, will make his journey to Lincoln in the UK to witness the opening of the International Bomber Command Centre.
It will be his last chance to pay respects to his fellow crewmen.
He recalls his experience on the planes, telling Alan Jones the end of the war was a “great relief”.
“I got down and kissed the ground.”
