Sydney and other parts of NSW celebrate ‘Freedom Day’ after more than 100 days of lockdown.

Cafes, pubs and gyms welcomed back fully vaccinated residents as of 12:01 today (Monday 11 October).

NSW Treasurer Matt Kean told Jim Wilson he is confident we can get our economy ‘roaring’ again.

“There is a great feeling that we can bounce back better after this pandemic,” he said.

“We need to come out of this stronger than we went in.

“Get people back in work, get businesses back in business and that is our number one priority.

“We want to do everything we can to support our businesses, to get them back on their feet as soon as possible,  they are the engine room of our economy … they are the ones that grow our prosperities so the government needs to support them through this process. ”
