Sydney’s best Christmas lights launch tonight
One of the highlights of the Sydney Christmas calendar gets underway tonight with the launch of The Lights of Christmas at St Mary’s Cathedral in the city.
From 7.30pm, the cathedral’s facade will play host to a series of images alongside live music from local choirs.
The event is hosted by AGB Events and Chris Smith speaks with Chief Operating Officer Todd Severson about how the idea came about.
“Eight years ago our CEO was discussing a need for a new way to help portray the images and the sentiment around the holiday season and bring people together in the square.
Each year the light show tells a different story and this year’s theme has multiple different segments.
