Small business backs new NSW Premier

Article image for Small business backs new NSW Premier

A Sydney business owner is urging the state government to encourage workers to get back to the office as businesses struggle with the lack of foot traffic.

Phillip Joel runs a number of Kwik Kopy stores in Sydney and has told Ben Fordham the government needs to take the lead in reviving the CBD.

“They have to insist that their people come back to the office five days a week, that will encourage big business to bring their people back to the city. Until that happens nothing’s going to happen.

“There’s no magic wand on Monday, the fact that we’re going to reach 70 per cent is not going to bring people back into the city until the government takes the lead on this issue.”
