‘Size-for-age’ policy introduced into junior rugby
Rugby Australia has taken a step in the right direction, introducing a size-for-age for junior rugby players.
The policy will see players from under 10s to under 15s teams moved to a different age group depending on their size.
New guidelines regarding the treatment of concussions have also been introduced.
NSW Sports Minister Stuart Ayres joins Ben Fordham with the details.
“If you see a concussion take place you need to remove them from the game.
“You also need to ensure that they are reported to the concussion official that exists at the game.
“We also want them referred off to a doctor or a medical practitioner to provide a pathway back to playing the game.”
