Senator Jim Molan tells Chris Smith he is extremely disappointed in the state of the NSW RSL.

“I am very, very disappointed.

“The RSL has money. We have young veterans who need assistance.

He shares with Chris how the RSL helped his mother after his father’s death.

“The RSL stepped in beautifully and helped my mother get a widow’s pension.”

Senator Molan also comments on his whirlwind entrance into parliament.

“I thought I’d at least get a week to settle in but that did not occur.”

On Adam Bandt’s comments, Senator Molan says he gave a much better apology second time around.

“Adam was good enough to say he would make a donation to a veterans’ organisation and I hope he will.

“We’ll watch that space with great interest.”
