Police Minister assures police will keep pressure as gangs exploit teens
NSW Police Minister Paul Toole reassured that police will be continuously supported and resourced to prevent gangs influencing teenagers.
In a report published by The Daily Telegraph one of Australia’s most wanted men, Masood Zakaria, is donating money to junior rugby league teams in the western suburbs in an attempt to lure teens to join the KVT gang.
The gang is made up of young teenagers and is used by the Alameddines to carry out criminal activities.
They are behind a number of assaults, drug deals, and are tasked with possessing guns and cash.
NSW Police Minister Paul Toole told Ray Hadley it’s upsetting that the teenagers are being targeted.
“They are using these young people to be their foot soldiers,” he said.
“Our police will continue to be given the powers by me to do the work they need.”
