Wool Industry takes export fight to Canberra

Members of the wool industry have taken their fight to Federal Parliament, as they reject plans for the future phase out of live sheep exports.

Eight industry representatives from Sheep Producers Australia, WA Farmers, the WA Livestock and Rural Transport Association and the WA Shearing Industry Association have travelled to Canberra to meet with politicians, to make clear it’s not just farmers who will suffer if the ban goes ahead.

Rural reporter Madelaine McNeill caught up with Shearing Industry Association president Darren Spencer, to learn more about their concerns.
