Riot Police Clash With Protesters in Hong Kong

Mike Jeffreys

Michael talks to Kirsty Needham, China correspondent for The Sydney Morning Herald & The Age about the on-going protests which see more than one million people, roughly one-seventh of Hong Kong’s population, take to the streets over laws proposing legislation that would allow people to be extradited from Hong Kong to mainland China.

Protesters appear prepared for a long protest due to fears that China would be able to use the laws to target political enemies.
