New agency to assist flood impacted livestock producers
A new agency is being set up by the federal government to help flood-hit Queensland cattle farmers get back on their feet.
The North Queensland Livestock Industry Recovery Agency will develop a long-term plan to rebuild the industry.
Additional financial measures have also been announced, with low-cost loans to be offered to farmers buy new cattle and rebuild their properties.
