Mouse Population Boom

Researchers are reluctant to declare the worsening mouse problem in Australia’s Southern Grain Belt as a plague.

The big 2016 crop has left plenty of food for the pest as the population booms.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield spoke with CSIRO Researcher Steve Henry about the outbreak, and how farmers are coping with sewing this year’s crops underway.
