Pauline Hanson: ‘Our streets are going to be war zones’

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson tells Ben Fordham she wants the families of immigrants who have committed crimes to be deported.

Ms Hanson says jail isn’t enough of a deterrent and threatening deportation may make foreign criminals think twice.

“I know what it’s like to be in prison. If you commit a crime in our society… it’s a holiday in there.

“They have decent meals, air conditioning, education.

“If they want to come out and commit a crime against our society and they’re not an Australian citizen, well you may think twice about it if you’re going to get your family deported.”

She says the courts and politicians are too soft on criminals.

“It’s about time we got harsh.  The public are screaming out for it.”
