NSW Health Minister: ‘They do come out of the same genetic pool as the anti-vaxxers’
Some New South Wales councils are digging in their heels and refusing to add fluoride to their water supplies, despite evidence in favour of doing so.
Children under four from areas without fluoridated water are admitted to hospital for the removal of bad teeth almost five times as often than children in fluoridated areas.
Last year, Health Minister Brad Hazzard wrote to several councils asking them to act but many have failed to do so.
The Minister says “those who can do it, should do it”.
He’s slammed those who have opposed the fluoridation of drinking water, telling Ben Fordham “they do come out of the same genetic pool as the anti-vaxxers”.
“It’s a silly proposition that people should have their teeth exposed to decay.”
