Northern Beaches councils will trial off-leash areas at North Palm Beach and Mona Vale Beach south. 

The announcement has stirred up disagreements between 2GB listeners concerned about how the dogs will impact people and the environment.

Northern Beaches Liberal Councillor Rory Amon told Jim Wilson on Drive: “on the Northern Beaches there is 80km of foreshore, the proposed trial has announced 700 metres of those areas.

“When you create a framework in which these people can enjoy their various freedoms, you actually create an environment where you can better enforce the rules.”
