North Sydney resident rushed to hospital after being hit by a 2kg pine cone

Julie Jones who is 70-years-old was walking along a path when the cone fell from a branch at Cremorne Point.
She had to be taken to hospital with some nasty injuries and now requires a tetanus injection as she recovers.
Julie’s daughter, Hannah Johnson told Jim Wilson, “It’s very rare and very unlucky”.
Hannah has asked the council to take action and said “If that had hit a child especially on the head, that would have serious consequences”.
