Is it time for QLD to join NSW and adopt daylight saving?

It’s the age old debate…should Queensland join the rest of the East Coast and adopt daylight saving?

Despite a recent survey showing more than HALF the population wants it, both the Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington, have vowed NOT to introduce it, or even hold a referendum on it.

But business and industry groups aren’t giving  up on it – they say bringing in daylight saving will actually help the economy and boost local industry.

Head of Australian Industry Group, QLD, Shane Rodgers, says it’s a necessary move.

So, what do you think? Is it time Queensland moved its clocks forward an hour over Summer?
