Opposition leader Bill Shorten has come under fire following accusations he’s taken a page out of British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s book.

Finance Minister Mathias Cormann is accusing Bill Shorten of plagiarising Mr Corbyn in his National Press Club speech, saying his “anti-business” agenda is a backwards step for Australia.

Ross Greenwood speaks with former president of Business Council of Australia Tony Shepherd.

“It certainly is a lurch to the left, there’s no doubt about that.

“He’s getting closer and closer to Jeremy Corbyn every day.

“I thought that was a terrible prescription for the future of Australia.”
