Fed-up Windsor resident reveals why he confronted PM

A Windsor flood survivor is furious over how both the state and federal governments have handled NSW’s flood crisis.

Scott Hinks confronted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet as they made a visit to flood-affected areas in the Hawkesbury region yesterday.

He spoke with Mr Albanese about the lack of urgency to find long-term solutions that would lessen the impact of floods.

Mr Hinks said his home was under four metres of water but has received no help despite “all the talk”.

He told Mark Levy he’s sick of  “hearing the same responses” from politicians.

“Each leader must have a book and read from it and say ‘okay, flood disaster, we say this’,” he said.

“The dress rehearsal is over!”
