Deb reviews Wake

Author of the new crime fiction novel Wake has joined Deborah Knight for the latest installment of Deb’s book club.

The debut novel from Australian author Shelley Burr is about the mysterious disappearance of a young girl.

“I started writing Wake in back in 2018 and there was a real fascination [in true crime] back then and it’s really only grown over the past couple of years,” Ms Burr said.

The book has gardened rave reviews upon it’s release.

“It’s incredible. I just love that people seem to really get what the book’s about … it’s really humbling.”

Deb will be reviewing the book in the coming weeks.
