Croc Lady fears she will lose her ‘family’

A 61-year-old Victorian woman is at risk of losing her three beloved pet crocodiles.

Vicki Lowing, known as the “Croc lady”, has housed crocodiles for more than 30 years.

The crocs have their own pools and Vicki even used to put them on a leash and take them for walks!

Now, Victoria’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has refused to renew her licence.

Vicki tells Chris Smith she’s “in great fear of losing” her two freshwater crocodiles, Johnny and Fabian.

“The regulations changed in 2015 and they say I’m not complying to the regulations, but I feel I am.

“They need a lot of care and I’m quite passionate about mine.

“Theyre like my family, they’re like my kids.

“I’ve only got one human child, he grew up with one of the crocodiles.”
