British author tackling political correctness head on

British author Brendan O’Neill is taking political correctness head on.

The editor of Spiked Online will be speaking in Sydney this week about the “rise of the resistance” against the PC brigade.

He tells Alan Jones “political correctness is still on the rampage” and is closing down discussion, but there’s a growing push against it.

“You can see that in the way in which anyone who holds an unpopular opinion is denounced as phobic.

“There’s all these ways in which political correctness demonises certain ideas and makes it more difficult to have an honest discussion about where society is going.

“But at the same time, there is a push back against some of the this.

“I think ordinary people have had about as much as they can take, and they are taking action to push back.”
