The head of the Australian War Memorial says he’s proud of the way Australians respect the service and sacrifice of those who’ve served our country.

The Memorial in Canberra will tomorrow host the ANZAC Day National Ceremony.

Director, Doctor Brendan Nelson tells Alan Jones the nation does a lot to commemorate our veterans, but could always do more.

“I think we’re doing much, much more than we did and I think there’s always a lot more that we can do.

“Particularly in the support of younger veterans who are returning from now 20 years of virtually continuous operations in different parts of the world.”

Dr Nelson also goes through plans for tomorrow’s ceremony in Canberra.
