Andrew Constance floats possibility of Netflix-style transport subscription

Andrew Constance says our transport pricing could be revolutionised by introducing a Netflix-style subscription service.

The NSW Transport Minister is looking at reforming transport pricing as costs continue to rise.

Mr Constance tells Ben Fordham it would involve a weekly or monthly fee that would cover all modes of transport, from public transport, to toll roads, to ride-sharing services.

“We do see people opt to subscribe for a television service, and the same will potentially apply with mobility into the future.

“It’s called Mobility-as-a-Service.”
