A Shorten government would be ‘PC on steroids’, Mark Latham says

Although it appears Labor is set for victory at the next election, their membership figures say otherwise.

Mark tells Chris Kenny he isn’t surprised at all.

“There’s no reason to join the Labor Party, it’s run by Stalinists.

“They’re long gone, they’re a lost cause I’m afraid. There’s no coming back for Labor where they’ve got themselves into this position.”

Despite declining membership figures, Mark says we’re still on track for Bill Shorten to be the nation’s next leader.

“There’s no doubt that we run the severe risk of a Shorten government.

“We ain’t seen nothing yet. It’s going to be PC on steroids.”

On Acting PM Michael McCormack’s spruiking of a “Santa Claus” budget in May, Mark points to a chronic spending problem.

“Year after year they spend more. Australia doesn’t have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.”
