Ben Fordham has slammed Snowy Hydro’s “renewable disaster”.

Snowy 2.0 involves linking two existing dams in the Monaro region through more than 30 kilometres of underground tunnels.

Energy is generated by the water running between the two dams and backed up by wind and solar.

It’s promise, is to deliver enough energy storage to “power 3 million homes over the course of a week”.

“It was Malcolm Turnbull’s pet project, now it’s in the dog house,” Ben said.
