A shocking house fire which killed a father and 5 children is now being treated as suspicious.

Police are expected to hold a press conference at 8am on the horror incident at Russell Island, not far from Brisbane.

A father, Wayne Godinet, and his children aged 11, 10, 4-year-old twins and 3, perished in the devastating blaze yesterday morning- with only the mother Samantha surviving.

Nine reporter Peter Fegan has told Ben the incident “is now being treated as suspicious”.
