Manly Vice-Captain Jake Trbojevic is targeting an early return from injury next week as he presses his claims for State of Origin selection.

Trbojevic suffered a Grade two calf injury against the Titans in Round nine and missed last week’s Magic Round loss to the Broncos and Sunday’s clash with Cronulla.

He told The Continuous Call Team he’s hopeful of facing the Raiders in Round 12.

“It’s getting there,” Trbojevic said.

“It’s honestly feeling pretty good, obviously pretty disappointed not to be out there, (but) hopefully back next week or the week after but we’ll see how we go.”

State of Origin one will be played at Adelaide Oval on May 31.
