12yo boy arrested after police pursuit ends in crash in Sydney’s west

A 12-year-old boy is one of three children who were out on bail when they allegedly took a stolen car for a joyride in Sydney’s west last night.
At about 9.30pm, police began chasing a stolen vehicle on Luxford Road at Shalvey.
The pursuit had to be terminated after the car crossed onto the wrong side of the road at Bidwell.
A short time later, the car was involved in a crash with two other vehicles at Hassall Grove.
Police made it to the scene in time to arrest two boys, aged 12 and 15.
Footage shows an officer pick the kids up by the scruff of their jumper and lead them to a police car.
Two other boys, aged 14 and 17, were found in a nearby yard, after allegedly fleeing the scene.
All four were taken to Riverstone Police Station, where the 15-year-old was later released without charge.
The 12-year-old has been charged with breach of bail.
The 14 and 17-year-olds have been charged with breach of bail and carry and conveyance.
All three have been refused bail to face Parramatta Children’s Court today.
