There are reports the Prime Minister is ready to sack Education Minister Alan Tudge after allegations were made last year that he had an “abusive” relationship with a staffer.

Mr Tudge allegedly sought to promote his former adviser with whom he was having an undisclosed affair.

The Australian’s Canberra Bureau Chief Dennis Shanahan told Ben Fordham if there’s been a breach of ministerial standards then he must go.

“It’s likely he will go in the gap between now and the budget at the end of March.”
