Due to Omicron cases spiking, there has been a high number of blood donation cancellations.

According to Lifeblood, they’ve had 100,000 bookings cancelled all across Australia.

Executive Director at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Cath Stone told Deborah Knight, “It’s been a really tricky summer period”.

“At the moment we are seeing 4500 cancellations day”.

“All blood types at the moment is what we’re looking for.”
