What you need to know about tomorrow’s Victorian election

Victoria will head to the polls tomorrow, with Labor in the box seat to retain government.

New polls out today suggest Daniel Andrews and the Labor Party are on course to be re-elected.

Mr Andrews has stretched his lead over Opposition leader Matthew Guy as preferred Premier and is now ahead of his rival 54-46.

Fairfax predicts a Labor win on Saturday with 54-46 of the statewide two-party preferred vote.

News Corp/Galaxy poll also has Labor’s primary support surging to 53-47.

Former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett joins Alan Jones to preview the election.

He insists the result is far from decided.

“It is not over yet my friend. It is not over yet.

“Almost 50 per cent of the electorate has already voted,” says Mr Kennett.

“I am very confident that the Coalition did very well over that period.”
