Celebrity cook Maggie Beer has shared the importance of interacting with people living with dementia.

Children’s book about living with dementia, Dancing with Memories, is penned by Sally Yule in collaboration with Professor Ralph Martins and Maggie Beer.

Ms Beer told Deborah Knight the book honours people who have dementia.

“We can’t sugarcoat it, it’s there.

“But … we can show, particularly a child – in fact, everyone – that still the person is there and we don’t want to feel sorry for them.”
