Vaping expert details her incredible journey to better health
If your New Year’s resolution is to stop smoking, lawmakers could make the process easier with the legalisation of vaping.
But as it stands, smokers need a prescription to buy nicotine.
“It’s ridiculous,” says Ben Fordham.
Even our neighbours across the ditch are ahead of us, with New Zeland legalising vaping last year.
In Sydney at the moment is one of the experts who was instrumental in that legalisation, and she joins Ben Fordham in the studio.
"Harm reduction isn't about black and white thinking, it's about minimising the harm, not only to the person using the product but to the people around them."

Co-founder of Aotearoa Vapers Community Advocacy in New Zealand Nancy Sutthoff was a former smoker.
“I came from a family of smokers… that were negatively impacted by smoking and I didn’t want to do that to my kids,” she tells Ben.
After Nancy was introduced to vaping by her brother, she says she no longer had issues with her breathing or blood pressure.
“It was fabulous.
“With the first month I was like, ‘Wow, I can breathe better. Wow, I can taste things. Wow, I can smell things’.”
