North Queensland star Valentine Holmes says the Cowboys have turned a corner since they were hammered by the Sharks in Round nine.

It comes after the Cowboys make it two wins in a row last night following a 42-22 win over the Dragons in Townsville, after a slow start to 2023.

Holmes who was outstanding and even kicked a two-point field goal from 45 metres out told The Continuous Call Team the club’s turned a corner.

“I think so, the game against the Sharks really hurt a lot of our players,” Holmes said.

“It was a pretty poor performance and nobody really turned up that game, the coaches were disappointed.

“We had a big point to prove at training the next week coming up against a top team like the Roosters.”
