‘There’s No Place Like Home’ podcast sheds light on domestic and family violence

Michael McLaren

Through 10 episodes, Future Women’s new podcast ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ dives into domestic violence and family abuse told by survivors in their own words.

Sharing intimate thoughts, feelings and experiences the podcast unpacks what it is like to suffer from physical, emotional violence and control.

The podcast is hosted by Tarang Chawla, whose sister Nikita died at the hands of her husband in 2015.

He told Deborah Knight, “It’s an issue far too close to home”.

“Physical violence is not always the starting point, there are other forms of control and abuse.

“It’s so important for victim-survivors to feel seen, to feel heard.”
