‘There’s a bad smell!’: Ray Hadley calls out Premier over Hills Shire saga

Mark Levy

Ray Hadley has called out the NSW Premier, believing there’s a “bad smell” in relation to a series of dealings between the Hills Shire Council and property developers.

An inquiry into allegations of impropriety is underway, which will probe links between developers in the Hills Shire Council.

Dominic Perrottet’s brothers, Jean-Claude and Charles Perrottet, are among four people who have been summoned to give evidence.

The Premier has attempted to play down the inquiry as “some sort of witch hunt from the media”, which Ray believes doesn’t pass muster.

“The matter was first elevated by a member of his own party!” he said. “Premier, there’s a bad smell about this entire episode!

“I first made you and the government aware of it way back in October of 2021, at that time, the government sat on their hands, telling me there was nothing to do.
