Cronulla premiership-winning captain Paul Gallen has delivered an honest assessment of the weakness he believes cost the Roosters in 2023, following last night’s semi-final lost to the Storm.

The Roosters went down to Melbourne 18-13 at AAMI Park after a last gasp try from winger Will Warbrick, but errors and penalties ultimately cost them in the end.

Gallen, a member of The Continuous Call Team, says despite putting together six straight wins before last night, discipline cost them all year.

“I still think at the end of the day the Roosters could’ve won that game,” Gallen said.

“I feel that their discipline all year has cost them big time.

“And I still feel that it cost them last night.”
