Jim Wilson is passionate about raising funds for cancer after his son passed away with brain cancer at the age of 6.

Last week would have been his son Sam’s 18th birthday.

Jim was contacted by a listener who shares his passion and who had heard his appeal that there needs to be more funding for cancer research.

Swimmer and fundraiser Helen Rubin is organising a virtual charity swim for Cure Cancer Australia.

She told Jim Wilson she got involved with Cure Cancer five to six years ago.

“Since then I have stayed a volunteer,” she said.
