Nick Di Girolamo, the man who gifted former NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell the infamous bottle of wine which led to his downfall, has slammed ICAC.

Barry O’Farrell famously resigned after it was found he received a $3000 bottle of Penfold’s Grange Hermitage as a gift.

Mr Di Girolamo’s name was cleared three years later.

He told Ben Fordham he expected ICAC to take “some form of accountability” at that point.

“All you want as a citizen of a democracy is to be equal before the law and my concern is this model voids that democratic right.”
